Carowinds Hotel & Industrial Center
Part of the grand plan for Carowinds included an on-site hotel and industrial office space dubbed “Carolina Center Industrial Park.” There was also supposed to be a nearby residential development and professional football stadium…with the 50 yard line straddling the state line, of course. None of this ever came to pass, but here’s concept art of the impressive “Hotel Carowinds” along with newspaper ads relating to the industrial facilities.
